I was smiling the whole time I was watching this movie. The happy musical mood is perfect for a relaxing Friday night (after a week of long working hours). Meryl Streep, who plays a single mother, did a very good job in this movie. Amanda Seyfried, the bride to be is very pretty and has a very good singing voice.

The mother-daughter relationship theme of this wedding movie causes me to drop some tears. I remember Mama, that’s why. I wonder if she’s aware up there in heaven that her youngest daughter is now a bride to be. I wish she’s here to aid me for some wedding preps and help me to choose bridal gown style and designs.

Ticker. So as not to forget the number of waiting days, there are tickers, reminders and alarms counters that are available and free online.

Online Save the Date and Invitation. Some are actually doing this. For those who are tight in budget and wants to be more practical — instead of spending money for printing, why not design it then just inform your guest it using website or via email. Kuripot hehe.

Chat Discussion / Conferences. This one happened to me several times.., arguing with the fiance about wedding details, schedules, and checklist of what to do. Yahoo Conferences is also the best place for a busy bride-to-be to discuss wedding stuff with the girlfriends (bridesmaids). Joining groups and wedding communities is in too.

When I was just a kid, I used to wonder - why does every woman in this world wants to be a June Bride? Why not April, July or August? Okay, maybe there’s something lucky about it so I told myself - when I grow up and found the right man to marry, I’ll tell him I want to be a June Bride too.

T’was a funny innocent dream and will always be just a dream. Why, because month of June here in our country (Philippines) usually marks the start of rainy season. So yeah, who wants to celebrate wedding on a rainy day? Imagine the hassle, delay it may cause, floods that can cause traffic and will ruin the bride’s wedding gown.

So where does this idea of June Bride came from?

History says - it’s all because the month of June is from the word Juno. In the Roman myth, Juno is said to be a goddess of love, femininity and marriage that is why they said it is lucky to marry on the said month because the goddess Juno is there to guide and bless the couple especially the bride.

The fashion clothes, lovely shoes and wedding gown designs are sooo amazing. Her 3 bridesmaids (Miranda, Charlotte and Samantha) are also wearing beautiful gowns in assorted colors.

The movie is a must to watch. Please. You should. One thing that I love about the wedding scenes of the said movie is the venue where she decided to held the event.

The idea was to get married inside the library where books about great love is stored. So romantic isn’t it? I wont spoil further details - I suggest you should go and run to your favorite theater and watch Sex and the City movie.
